Join Our Book Club

Description
The book club meets once a month to discuss, debate and exchange perspectives on literature selected by the members. On occassion, the members will invite guest speakers, authors and critics to join the conversation. In the past members have also indentified short films to screen during meet-ups.
The books and media materials selected by the members are from the Indo-Caribbean Special Collection housed at the Lefferts Branch of Queens Library.
Membership
Anyone can join the book club at any time. However, registration is required. To join the club, complete this form and we will put you on the mailing list for the book club.
Location
The club meets at the ICA Community Center located in the celler level at 127-16 Liberty Ave, Richmond Hill, NY 11419. On occassion, members have hosted meet-ups at their private homes or at the Lefferts Branch of Queens Library. Once you complete the registration form, you will be placed on the mailing list for the next meet-up location.
Examples
The club has read and discussed "Break Out" by Sukree Boodram, "Cereus Blooms at Night" by Shalini Mootoo, short film "Doubles with Slight Pepper" by Ian Harinarine.
